Learning Outcomes

  1. Know of newly developed high sensitivity assays providing reliable detection of low troponin concentrations and early risk stratifications of patients with possible acute coronary syndrome
  2. Follow adequate procedures around troponin testing in general practice and patients presenting with possible acute coronary syndrome
  3. Ensure correct test labelling and having the right systems in place to ensure results are conveyed immediately.
