A large number of women (and some men) are living with the after-effects of either the diagnosis of or treatment for breast cancer. The physical and psychological morbidities associated with treatment have long-term impacts on role functioning at work and at home.

This module highlights the supportive care that can aid in the management of a range of problems that are experienced after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify and manage unmet supportive care needs of breast cancer patients, to maximise quality of life and minimise breast cancer recurrence
2. Gain insights into treatment strategies, and possible side-effects and preventative measures
3. Identify fear of cancer recurrence, and has a multidisciplinary approach to management.
